I was honored to attend the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in Washington D.C. this past month.
There was so much education and insight at the NAR Legislative Meetings. My biggest takeaway came from a speech by journalist Scott Pelley, who emphasized the power and importance of storytelling. Scott has been covering major world events & interviewing world leaders since 1989, and says that ultimately, everything we do and every connection we create comes from storytelling. It is important to discuss rent control, fair housing, and all social structures from a theoretical place, but our only hope of passing impactful legislation and creating real change comes from our ability to connect these broad ideas to real people and their stories. That is how we truly help everyone understand what is happening and why. And as soon as we focus on finding these stories, we realize they are all around us all the time.
I look forward to learning more of your story.
